Kansas City

I just arrived in nowhere's MO, about 15 miles from Kansas City... Why Kansas City is in MO s beyond me, there is nothing much going on in this state, even their motto is something like... the Show Me state, what ever the hell that means... but my meetings are about 30 miles from here and it seems like a nice place... Blue Springs it is called.... they have a Starbucks and a cinema and a lot of outlet places... this is why there is Internet... it is funny I sit here and this is why i love Starbucks even though they poisoned me in Niagara falls... because I am sitting here and I could be in Manhattan too the smell is the same, the music is the same the products are the same the Internet is the same... the process change in accordance to taxes, i think MO is high tax relatively... maybe I am mistaken...
Today's drive was really short... only 6 hours or something... it was raining a lot of the day but then the 2nd half of the day wasn't.... people were at Church I could tell and then they are all went to the KFC... i guess they don't eat red meat on a Sunday...  I already got a ticket to the cinema... only Xmas movies... only Xmas songs... no wonder that lonely people shoot themselves in the brain at the end of the year, it is 2 months of constant brain washing.. xmas this xmas that... everything is red and green... LOL... eggnog latte frapaccino and what not.... Don't get me wrong I am not complaining... I like it, and it is very special indeed driving in all the beauty... truly! I think the drive from St Louis to here was done in Indian country... or formally Indian, native American country... the reason I say this is because the entire route today was lined with the following : FireWorks stored, Casino's and sex shops... combined with more signs about Jesus and anti abortionists... it is sad but true... I guess it is the tragedy of the land... that and you know, slavery... I could imagine as I was driving the Indians on their horses not understanding why these people are here and what they want... well... it isn't bad enough that these people's culture was completely destroyed for some reason they had been "pushed" into the most decadent and sleazy of corners... it made me somewhat sad actually... but any ways, that is in the past I guess... The people in this town are as Shay would say ridiculously nice... Tomorrow I will explore Kansas City and attempt to coordinate the 3rd interview here... then I will leave on the 28th to Little Rock...
That reminds me today as I was driving, I came upon "A Prairie House Companion" on the radio... it was great, there was this poet reading his poems, I think his name was Billy Collins or something... and then some country singing, and a host and everything... it was super great!!! Love this country... Here are some pics from yesterday... cannot seem to upload the cross film... ho well...more pics and stuff to come laterz
