Let My People Go...

Today I was forced as I am once every so often to head to my local tax shop and bring in forms, take forms and generally do my part to keep the "form follows function" industry running smoothly...

Now the thing is, that in the past, the asses in the tax shop used to be useless, slow, annoying, there was no A/C, it was load and a lot of people lining up and sweating and not getting what they need/or don't need, but will be arrested and fined if they don't get... anyways... so I go, and within 10 minutes, I get all the forms I need, don't even have the chance to fight with the people in line, because they are dealing with us all, faster than speeding bullets... faster than Moses took his shoenz off on mount Sinai... so not only do they take our money... but they are nice about it... People, beware... the system is becoming trixey... Oh yes... trixey... So I leave, and I am pleased because it didn't take a long time, and I don't want to die... makes you wonder who spread those rumors about them being inefficient? Could it be that they have always been very effective in collecting our money, and just spreading rumors, so that we don't all rebel? Because you finally get there, the place you have dreaded more than death itself, when all other governmental offices could not have prepared you, you think for your experience at the tax shop, and then, you are so pleasantly surprised, that you forget that what you have actually done, while being shmeered by their hospitality, is let them know, where you work, with whom, how much you get paid, they in return tell you that they allow you to keep a certain amount of your money... but if you don't pay in promptly, you will be dragged out into the street and shot...

And on that note, I wish all a happy Passover, when each of us must see himself as if he has left Egypt...

"Exodus... Movement of ja people..."
