E for Elections

Last night, a seemingly regular Monday evening... but was it really?
My ever so kind brother took me to see "V for Vendetta"
based on a graphic novel written by Alan Moore, and illustrated by David Lloyd... and ... Oh God...
I mean I left the cinema fucking shocked. Fucking shocked. Fucking shocked.
So like I couldn't believe they actually blew up the parlement building... like why? Why if the people have rising, why would they need to blow up the building? I dont understand...

Then, we go out and it is the most beautiful evening... everybody was out playing, midnight and on Rothschild people are bowling, drinking coffee, enjoying their unexpected mid week sabbatical. No talk of politics... even though today is election day... oh yes... elections are being held today, and not only do I not care who will win, but, I don't even know who I am going to vote for, why I should even bother voting? But I probably will... vote for some asshole that will get their pay check because of my taxes, and then charge me more money for doing what it is I do, so that they can do what they do and so on and so forth...

As Shay said, "Have you noticed that politicians don't even promise a better future?" and that's true, they don't even have the common courtesy to lie to us, makes one think, why do I need to bother and go out of my house and vote, when they don't even promise me a better future. They promise that the same crap will continue, and that's it? WTF?

So, then, I was even more scared by the film, because it made me realise that I sympathize with many of the themes in it... because I recognize some of the realities in the film, in our current "reality" here... and what does that mean?
I don't agree with the whole killing the man doesn't kill the idea theme in the film...
Itzhak Rabin was murdered on the 4th of November (remember, remember) and the idea of peace between Israel and its neighbors was pretty much flushed down the toilet...

Being free, setting ones mind free... even for a moment... fuck... just thinking out of the box you realize that we have been brainwashed by a system that we invented and that we all agree to play by its rules...

And do we really think that it is a coincident that the bird flue thing just happen to irrupt on the eve of this election? Nah ah...
So I ate chicken last night, in defiance!!! I call you all to eat chicken in defiance!!!

Crap...
