I just got back and still trying to regroup from my annual cinema summer camp, "CinemadaMare 2006".
It is hard to explain what exactly goes on in the "no place" that is the CinemadaMare experience. All I can say for now, that once again, it was a very special experience, and although less shocking than last time, still a very strong one in which you understand that amongst everything else, that you can be yourself, your filmy geeky, funny, morbid, drunken stupid self, and be loved for that. No one wants anything from you, they don't expect anything, they don't judge, just make films, watch films and be affectionate...
Now that may be the case is the "real world" too... but, I don't see it, not like that... so either the alcohol makes my eyes go bigger, or that in the "real world" there are too many distractions that create those illusions that get pulled over our eyes to blind us from the truth...
